The Kilnmouth Dragon doesn't see
tournament play because its to slow, or is it?.
2 cards that prevent this "slow" problem are
Seething Song and Dragon Speaker Shaman. With
these 2 great cards I can dump a turn 4
Kilnmouth Dragon into play with how ever many
dragons I reveal in my hand and I've virtually
won. How often does this happen well in my
dragon deck with 4 of each of these wonderful
cards it is a common occurrence to drop a turn 4
Kilnmouth.
Scared of losing in those
precious few turns before you drop the Kilnmouth
Dragon, Do not fear Kilnmouth is in the right
colour, One word, Burn , Yes that's right Shock,
Volcanic Hammer and Pyrite Spell Bomb can slow
your enemy's down enough so by the time
Kilnmouth comes out the enemy is an easy target.
Well ok so Dragon decks do have
Kilnmouth Dragon, its only good when you reveal
dragons and what other dragons would you use
they all suck, Right? Wrong! Lets take a deeper
look at Kilnmouth family. We have the old
favourite Shivan Dragon and how could you miss
its ability to become bigger and bigger. We have
the Imperial Hellkite and that's one solid
beater. A 6/6 flyer and if you need to you can
drop it as a morph, Little beaters can win
games. Coming in fast and hard as one of the
more popular dragons we have the mighty Rorix
Bladewing a 6/5 with haste and flying. This guy
has shown up in mono red Goblins and in R/G land
destruction, A must have in any Dragon deck.
These are just a few of the popular T2 dragons
but if you delve into type 1.x you get the
Shivan Hellkite, Crimson Hellkite and the small
but powerful Fledgling Dragon.
So we have inspected Kilnmouth
family lets inspect his trusty tools. First on
the list we have the awesome Belbes portal. The
best card with this is Seething Song, Play
seething song on turn 3 then drop Belbes portal
for the 5 mana and you should already have
enough mana to use its ability. A piece of
equipment that you should use (You should all
know it) Is Lightning greaves. One of the only
ways to take out a pumped up flying behemoth is
to use spells like Terror. Lightning Greaves
makes Kilnmouth very hard to kill.
Ok now I'll throw together a deck
that can pack a punch:
Creatures:
4x
Kilnmouth Dragon
2x
Two Headed Dragon
2x
Shivan Dragon
2x
Rorix Bladewing
2x
Imperial Hellkite
2x
Shivan Hellkite
4x
Dragonspeaker Shaman
Spells:
2x
Belbes Portal
2x
Extraplanar Lens
4x
Seething Song
4x
Lightning greaves
4x
Volcanic Hammer
2x
Pyrite Spellbomb
Lands:
23x
Mountain
We have the Lens for the speed
and it lets you use some of the Dragons mana
abilities a lot. Burn to try and slow our
opponents speed. The Greaves to deflect spells
and a host of Dragons with the potential to
coarse mass destruction when played.
There we have it, If you are not
convinced that Dragons are good by now, Then
nothing i say could convince you.
Thanks for Reading until next
time, See ya Later.
